Spaniard Nico González wants to join Manchester United and according to the 16-year-old, he wants to get a shot at playing regularly.
The Barcelona youngster was linked with a move to join the bitter rivals Manchester City in November 2016, but that move was thwarted.
It is understood his father and Spanish legend Fran was a coach working under Pep Guardiola and that could have the triggered his desire to join the Premier League winners.
The Catalans according to sportwitness were confident of keeping the player, but that has blown up in their face as they could lose him to the Premier League this summer.
The 16-year-old is still keen on moving to Manchester and there are interesting suggestions that his father will attempt to pull all stops, to secure his transfer to England.
According to Sportwitness David Harrison will help secure his transition into the Premier League and particularly into Manchester United.
Fran is a close friend with the Red Devils senior scout and their relationship still remains a solid.
The possibility of González switch is very high given United are the bookies favourites to land him.
The teenager has been trimmed from Barcelona’s youth squad for the next season, which definitely increases his chances of joining the Red Devils youth team this summer.
