Ngonge has been in fantastic scoring form for Brugge’s youth side, scoring four goals in four UEFA Youth League games this season, and has drawn the attention of big European sides like Liverpool, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Lille and Internazionale Milan who are all ready to battle for his signature.
While one wouldn’t see scoring for the youth side of a club like Brugge as something exceptional, the opponents he has scored against is what has led to the number of interests. He has scored against Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco.
The 18-year-old earned his first call up to his national U19 side recently and scored on his first start for his country.
His current contract will expire in the summer of 2019 and with a little pressure on Brugge, he could be available at a cut price.
However, should he decide to move, players under the age of 23 require a training compensation fee to be paid to their former club, but it will be negligible compared to the fee clubs like Brugge will demand from top clubs when their hot prospects are in demand.
Chelsea already have quite a number of impressive strikers in their youth side so it’ll be interesting to see if they bother to add another in January.
