Misfiring Alvaro Morata will need to pack enough confidence to the pitch when next he’s featured, admits boss Maurizio Sarri.

Alvaro Morata plunged into an abyss of no enthusiasm, though, he hinted so much vigor on the pitch.

The Chelsea striker has yet to find his rhythm on the field, missing sitters including posing a forlorn figure.

It has been a worrisome campaign for the Spaniard, who was trimmed from the Spain national team before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Chelsea travel to Premier League side West Ham in hopes to maintain their 100 percent success on Sunday and Morata will need to start rifling shots at goal to keep his spot under Sarri.

The 24-year-old was replaced with Giroud in the 81st minute after an unsuccessful affair against POAK in Greece during their Europa League clash on Thursday night.

The Blues won by a very slim goal margin from an early Willian opener. They continued to boss possession until the end of the match but only managed to keep the scoreline at 1-0 in Greece.

The goals should have been more if Morata was on target, but his misfirings meant the Blues had to fight tooth and nail to keep the scoreline that way.

About the Spaniard throwing away chances, Sarri said in a post match conference on Thursday night: “Morata has to gain confidence with one, two or three goals.

“I am not able to give him confidence. In this game he had three or four opportunities, he was unlucky.

“I hope in the future I can try to help him, but the confidence comes only with goals.”
